WhatToWear

what to wear, what to wear….

Clothing is such an important part in photography. It can make or break a picture. I know that a lot of people put off scheduling a session for this one reason: "I don’t know how to coordinate clothing for my family."

Try to avoid "LOUD" things. Things such as busy patterns, logo or printed tops. Also, try to avoid stripes and plaids, as this can distract from the person/people in the photograph.

For group or family sessions, coordinate the outfit style for each child being photographed. For newborns, less is more.

I LOVE rich, vibrant colors such as deep reds, greens, blues, and purples. All of these colors photograph so beautifully together. I ALWAYS recommend to accessorize with jewelry, scarves, hats, bags, etc. For children, bring their favorite toy(s), stuffed animal, blanket.

Try not to wear white shirts or khaki. I don't feel this allows for the unique photos you are wanting to achieve and doesn't allow for much creativity.

Remember, each special detail you add to your photo makes it all that much more memorable and priceless!

Live life as you picture it!
